Thai Life Insurance aims at the importance and opportunity in providing an assistance as the company’s purpose that’s why we initiated the campaign “One for Lives, A New Life for a Child’s Heart” helping to serve as an integral role to create awareness both in defense and precaution as well as fundraising assistance (fundraising) for children with heart diseases.

INTRODUCTION

The intention of Thai Life Insurance Plc to run the business under the good governance and social reciprocal is being as the “care taker” and “provider”, for more than 76 years of organization. Thai Life Insurance accentuates the social support apparently one of the national issues by enhancing the disadvantaged who are insufficient to access the health treatments which is another public health agenda.

Thai Life Insurance aims at the importance and opportunity in providing an assistance as the company’s purpose that’s why we initiated the campaign “One for Lives, A New Life for a Child’s Heart” helping to serve as an integral role to create awareness both in defense and precaution as well as fundraising assistance (fundraising) for children with heart diseases.

In cooperation to assist children with heart diseases thru “One for Lives Foundation” of Thai Life Insurance and all profits are funded to support “Samitivej Fund for new lives” of Samitivej Children’s Hospital to help children with heart diseases’ in operations.

FRAMEWORK AND STRATEGY

The project is guided by providing Education/Prevention + CSR Fundraising + Engagement thru the following activities:
  • Education by Health Promotion Roadshow in Bangkok and provincial regions about how to prevent the heart diseases including health promotion in children.
  • CSR Fundraising for the projects thru the activities, charity parties, charity running and charity concerts.
  • Public Engagement thru 1) the contribution by purchasing the designed product of the project 2) donation boxes at mobile pop-up exhibition for public relations showcases 3) Public Relations activations for fundraising which’s arranged in department store or targeted area in each year

Thai Life Insurance and Samitivej Children’s Hospital, we are the Strategic Partners with the intention to co-create something brand new and greater in the society in term of Brand to Brand Shared Value Commitment and strengthen the cooperation mechanism with good governance people in providing social support (Samitivej Children’s Hospital / One for Lives Foundation/ New Life Charity fund) for sustainable development

ACHIEVEMENT AND IMPACT

Over one year of initiation, its results are clearly tangible whether the Functional Benefits in terms of monetary to fund the foundation or in terms of Emotional Benefits for branding regarding to create the project awareness as well as promoting corporate image.

In 2017, “One for Lives, A New Life for a Child’s Heart” accumulated the progressions from fundraising while donated THB 2,000,000 to “New Life Fund” to assist children with heart diseases for 10 child patients which this was in line with the goal set in the first year since established.

Total expected thirty-six child patients with cardiac surgery in three years or it could be said “one patient a month”

* The reason why we set this number due to the fact that there is the limitation of Hospital Bed for recovering process (approximately available only one case a month)

Emotional impact – Micro benefits – to create brand/ project awareness (at least 80% brand awareness)

Macro benefits – to create something brand new for making the changes that is a great new phenomenon happening in Thai society

FUTURE DIRECTION

The company has setup the Medium-term plan for cardiac surgery in children (2017 to 2019) thru “Establish – Enhance – Expansion” strategy with annual measurement and evaluation to assess the quality of achievement and improvement plan.

Total expected 36 child patients with cardiac surgery in three years (one patient a month)
