Organic fresh milk production and organic food development

TH Group has succeeded in developing its own farms for producing organic vegetables and herbs, and an organic dairy farm – with the country’s largest number of nearly 1,000 organic cows being raised.
INTRODUCTION
This project is implemented in the south-central province of Nghe An, Nghia Dan district. It is a high-tech large-scale concentrated dairy and fresh milk production project, with the usage of state-of-the-art technologies for producing organic vegetables, herbs and milk products which meet Europe’s organic standards of EC 834/2007, EC 889/2008, and the US’s USDA-NOP standard.With this project, TH Group is the first in Vietnam to plant large-scale organic vegetables and herbs in Vietnam. The group also pioneers in producing organic milk and applying European and US standards to producing milk products right in the land of Vietnam, bringing in the best products to consumers.
FRAMEWORK AND STRATEGY
Food safety and environmental protection is always the prime target of TH Group, and the group’s strong commitment to the community.Right from the first days the milk was produced, it had international quality with high food safety levels. The same is also true to other TH products. To hit its target, TH Group has made great efforts and take many actions in developing policies and opening new market. This spirit has pervaded throughout the local business community.
In Vietnam, the policies on recognizing organic production remains underdeveloped. Thus, to conduct organic production, TH Group had to resort to the help of international experts and apply international organic standards. Then the group provides consultancy for the government in developing organic agricultural policies. TH’s has helped boost the development and implementation of organic-related policies, making important contributions to the creation of large-scale organic production in Vietnam as well as the promotion of the country’s organic foodstuff market.
ACHIEVEMENT AND IMPACT
With its great efforts, TH Group has succeeded in developing its own farms for producing organic vegetables and herbs, and an organic dairy farm – with the country’s largest number of nearly 1,000 cows being raised. It is expected that in 2018, TH Group will produce organic milk from more than 3,000 cows. TH will continue developing this organic type of milk in other projects in Vietnam and Russia.TH Group’s organic vegetables and herbs are the pioneering products in Vietnam’s agricultural sector, taking the lead in the trend of natural and organic food and beverage. TH has also boosted healthy competition in the market through the quality of products. Its production model has been encouraged by the government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to be further expanded nationwide, with an aim to help Vietnam develop large-scale agricultural production, with quality controlled in a closed-loop value chain.
FUTURE DIRECTION
Conducting organic practices under international standards has been consistently advocated by TH Group over the past many years. TH is trying its best to bring Vietnam’s agriculture to the outside world with the strictest standards.Not only producing organic vegetables, herbs and milk products, TH Group has also been producing a wide range of other products under the international organic standards, such as rice, soya beans, fruit, and nut-oriented trees.
The group has also been boosting communications activities to the community so that consumers can have better understanding about the benefit of organic products for human health and sustainable development.
TH is focusing strongly into producing nature-based products and developing an organic foodstuff eco-system in service of consumers.
TH Group is the leading company in the Southeast Asian region in producing and processing fresh milk products. It has a high-tech concentrated dairy and fresh milk production project, which is certified to be the largest in Asia. Currently the group is expanding its business and investment towards organic products.
