INTRODUCTION
The Company’s most important asset is their employees and the Company notices that, hence providing employees with training for their long-term career development and in order to strengthen their employees’ recognition in the retail services industry, the Company proposed 3 main strategies to improve the work experience of their employees’.FRAMEWORK AND STRATEGY
The Company aims to nurture and develop their employees, to boost their human capital. 3 strategies were laid out in order to achieve that.1) Big Development: Observe and define the key needs of employees at all stages of their careers, and plans corresponding distinctive training programmes to help their employees to develop sustainable and practical skills, which are soft skills that can be applied throughout their lives.
2) Big Health: Provide their employees with a health promotion programme that covers physical health, mental health and interpersonal interactions. They would host regular health promotion programmes to increase employee participation and to encourage employees to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
3) Big Impact: Invest to promote the well-being of their suppliers and communities because they value all services and work that is being done by their employees and they would try their best to make positive social impacts to strengthen employees’ recognition of their own irreplaceable values at work and in the local community.
ACHIEVEMENT AND IMPACT
The Company’s development strategy enhances the work experience of their employees and gains high support and recognition from their employees. The Company provides quality training for their employees in order for them to develop long-term traits for their progression and in 2019, the average training cost and training hours of the Company’s employees were significantly higher than main competitive companies within the same industry and this shows how highly the Company values their employees. Not only that, the Company has carried out a number of health-related public service events in order to promote the well-being of their suppliers and communities and to bring the community together, to boost interpersonal interaction. The Company have won a number of CSR awards, which has effectively enhanced their image and employees’ acknowledgement of their collective positive social impacts. In 2019, the Company saw their turnover rate drop by 8.3% and they also saw a positive performance in their recruitment and retention drive.FUTURE DIRECTION
The Company believes that their employees is of utmost importance in order for them to achieve their corporate vision and move towards a future of sustainability. The Company will continue to plan distinctive training sessions, health programmes, and high-quality operations through third-party certifications and the Company will also use their own platforms, customer and visitor advantages to invest resources for their employees, suppliers and the public to handle large-scale public health and public services events to expand their positive social impact.
The Far Eastern Big City Shopping Mall is the largest shopping mall in
Northern Taiwan, hosting more than 300 retailing brands that offers a
wide array of fashion, entertainment and dining. Big City is also known
as the largest indoor Food & Beverage Kingdom of Taiwan, featuring
a venue of more than 60 local and international dining brands with
seating capacity in excess of 3,800. With this, Big City aims to be
a one-stop shopping mall by providing the finest service experience
within the industry.
