INTRODUCTION

The Company emphasises people as the core, as the business characteristics of the financial services industry and employees working in the office for long hours. The Company promotes workplace health promotion activities in order to create a healthy and safe working environment. Promoting national health through the power of finance, The “SinoPac Sport Card” advocates “Let Every Drop of Sweat Counts”; as such, the financial industry not only helps customers to accumulate wealth, but also accumulate health. Meanwhile, it helps develop a national exercise habit through community power.

FRAMEWORK AND STRATEGY

The Company aims to create a workplace of happiness, promote the concept that prevention is better than treatment to employees, and implements a free employee assistance programme to motivate employees to participate in clubs to relieve pressure through sports. At the end of 2018, Bank SinoPac launched Taiwan’s first sports credit card SinoPac Sport Card, which converts sports energy into multiplied bonus points, so that there would not only be verbal rewards for sports/exercise. In the middle of 2019, an app of “Let Every Drop of Sweat Counts” was launched to continue promoting the national exercise movement and through the power of community by overcoming the inherent weaknesses of human beings, sport has been made a part of everyday life.

ACHIEVEMENT AND IMPACT

The Company will uphold the core spirit of “Let Every Drop of Sweat Counts” to promote the national exercise movement and develop financial services that meet people’s needs. As of December 2019, certification with Taiwan i Sports by the Sports Administration of ROC and Health Activation Certification by the Ministry of Health and Welfare of ROC. To add on to that, over 57,000 people has a SinoPac Sport Card and over 40,000 people downloaded the “Let Every Drop of Sweat Counts” mobile app. In 2019, 14 exercise activities were held with participants accumulating to 100,000 people; cumulative walking steps reached 68.8 billion which translates to approximately 200 million steps a day. Lastly, SinoPac Sports Card was recognised by two awards, the Best Mode Award and the Best Product Innovation Award by Business Next.

FUTURE DIRECTION

The Company believes health is the greatest wealth. They will continue utilising the SinoPac Sport Card and the “Let Every Drop of Sweat Counts” mobile app, as internal and external communication platform, while taking into account the health and wealth of both employees and customers and constantly organising activities to promote the national exercise movement. In the future, the Company will continue to plan other substantive rewards to customers’ financial services, not only verbal rewards such as processing fee discounts for financial transactions or spillover policy design to continue to encourage the national exercise movement.
