Drinkable Water For Schools (DWFS) Project
Novaland Group
INTRODUCTION
DWFS is a CSR platform focused on children’s healthcare founded by Mr. Truong Tan Sang - Former President of The Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Mr. Pham Phu Ngoc Trai - Chairman of GIBC (Global Integration Business Consultants). The project’s vision is to build a healthcare platform, which aims to improve children’s health condition and engage businesses in community development; as well as support community sustainable growth and development. The mission is to provide drinkable water for schools in the remote areas, which suffer from shortage of safe and drinkable water. The project was selected due to the fact that water pollution is considered as the major challenge to many regions in Vietnam, especially in industrial and residential sites. In Mekong Delta, only 88.9% of residents have access to drinkable water which is the cause of malnutrition and many other diseases among children. This project was implemented smoothly between Project Team including HCMC Sponsoring Association for Poor Patient, Novaland and other local authorities. It usually takes about 1-2 months to complete the entire project from installation to handover at one province and this project has been ongoing since August 2018.FRAMEWORK AND STRATEGY
The project aims to purify water sources at selected schools via supplying water purifiers and water tanks. All new water purifiers meet international quality with Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Microfiltration Filter (MF), capacity of 6 liters per hour. This system will provide drinkable water with mineral supplement. All purifiers are located in convenient locations for students to easily obtain water. The project helps to accommodate rain water in the dry season and provides drinkable water for all students in the school year which helps improve public health and sustainable development in selected provinces. The Company’s long-term mission is developing communities, creating destination, building happiness. The Company strives to join hands with communities for a future of sustainability not only by developing properties but also by numerous CSR activities and projects, in which DWFS is a great example. Such CSR activities/projects will help support the community in which the Company operates in and gradually helps to achieve their long-term mission.ACHIEVEMENT AND IMPACT
