Through Asia Herb Way, we have seen strikingly higher participation from the staffs who have gained confidence through the Company’s projects. Now, more than 10% of the staffs have assumed different leading roles in the Company’s activities.
INTRODUCTION
Manpower is Asia Herb Group’s most important asset: without good personnel, the hospitality and service industry cannot survive. However, as most of the staffs who work in operation section come from low-income family, they think lowly of themselves. “Asia Herb Way” project is a beginning of the group Company’s long- term plan to promote self-esteem and self-worth through developing and encouraging staffs to participate in the Company’s project. With the start of the Asia Herb Way, the Company hopes that the staffs will gain more confidence, be proud of their duties and attempt their best to deliver the best performance for the customers’ highest satisfaction. As a service provider, Asia Herb Group believes that the staffs need to be happy to be able to make customers happy. The Company believes this bottom-up approach is a sustainable way to grow our Company as a provider of warm-hearted health care provider.FRAMEWORK AND STRATEGY
In the initial phase of implementation, Asia Herb Group invited a specialist from world-class service provider to train selected staff. As the Company’s motto is “Your ‘thank you’ is our treasure,” the staffs brainstormed about what each position could do to be recognized and appreciated by customers. The initial training process lasted about 6 months. The staff leaders acted as master trainers for the Company, planned the presentation of keywords of Asia Herb Way, and further taught other staffs in different positions in the Company. During the Company’s annual seminar, all employees were divided into groups composed of different positions, and shared ideas freely about the keywords and how they would perform according to the keywords to gain trust and appreciation from customers.ACHIEVEMENT AND IMPACT
Through Asia Herb Way, we have seen strikingly higher participation from the staffs who have gained confidence through the Company’s projects. Now, more than 10% of the staffs have assumed different leading roles in the Company’s activities.From the Company’s internal voices, Asia Herb Group has initiated a give-back project to the society this year, where they plan to visit a retirement home to take care and massage the elderly, who can barely take care of themselves. We hope that with the ongoing support from the Company, the staffs will continue to take initiatives to create pay-it-forward projects that impacts and creates change to the society for the future.
FUTURE DIRECTION
Asia Herb Group will continue its efforts in educating and promoting the importance of self-worth and self-esteem among the less privileged group in the society. We believe that giving education is the most precious gift that we can do for this group of people. As a long-term plan, Asia Herb Group plans to open a school to train younger generations from the upcountry who lack education opportunities but want to learn skills to be able to make a living. With the support from the staff members, we hope that the Asia Herb Way will step-by-step make life more beautiful for them.
Asia Herb Group is an operator of organic massage and spa, “Asia Herb Association,” an anti-aging clinic and an organic farm. Currently, the Company has 8 massage shops in Thailand and 2 branches abroad. They also own an organic spa product brand, paccop, and will launch a new skincare line this year.
