FRAMEWORK AND STRATEGY

All CSR intervention programmes of TKM revolves around the following model focussing on measurable outcome, long term sustainability and benefits to local community creating a substantial impact on social change drive.

TKM constructed more than 600 girl child sanitation units in Ramnagara [Karnataka], Varanasi [UP] Vaishali [Bihar] and BBMP limits of Bangalore. We believe it is not only important to provide the sanitation facility but maintenance of the facility and awareness on the usage and benefit of such units has to be understood. Hence, TKM launched the programme focussing on the maintenance of the units, sanitation benefits on the health of an individuals and hygiene practices, called ABCD [A Behavioural Change Demonstration]. TKM has developed a unique intervention model addressing the children, as children are believed to be the change agent and thereby motivating the children to have such units back at home and make the hygiene practices a habit by all.

ABCD Concept on Behavior change:
TKM believes that providing the physical infrastructure is not only the solution to the problem but maintenance of the facility, changing the mindset in overruling the age old practices, bringing the behavioural change in the community to have good hygiene practices have to go hand in hand to get the success in the project
