The company established AP Academy as an institute of construction knowledge, the first in Thailand to provide a curriculum that covers the full span of knowledge about the real estate business from design, construction, trading, and management. The concept behind this project is “In-depth knowledge, creative and practical, and always seeking quality.

INTRODUCTION

AP considers education to be crucial to the development of real estate and society at large. As an experienced developer and an expert in building quality residences, AP understands that quality residences lead to a better living quality. Thus AP is eager to share its vast body of knowledge: we believe it is our social responsibility. We want to transfer our expertise in construction, property management, and innovations in space utilization design both internally and externally, from within our ranks to university students and the general public. The company believes these educational investments will create a sustainable path of development for Thailand by inspiring the youth, improving real estate organizations while being mindful of potential impact to the environment.

FRAMEWORK AND STRATEGY

We believe that the people who have been trained by AP Academy will possess the necessary understanding of what it means to create a good quality building. This is foundation will enable them to collaborate and build on.

AP Academy comprises of three main pillars: 1. AP Property School, 2. AP Open house and 3. AP Symposium.
  • AP Property School was established to equip staff with practical knowledge and skills. We subscribe to the tenet that in order to build a good house, the builder must also be of good quality. Each curriculum has been specially designed to cover fundamental and functional elements, with selected courses on leadership. We have trained all our staff intensively with the aim of developing them into high quality human assets.
  • AP Open House aims to transfer AP’s vast body of knowledge experience, and provide opportunities for university students to practice both academic and practical skills so that they are ready for their working lives after graduation. Apprenticeship and hands-on experience form the basis of this program, and students who demonstrate potential during the program are offered employment upon graduation.
  • AP Symposium was established to share knowledge to an even wider audience. Innovations, visions on design, living space management, and construction techniques are just some topics that have been covered so far. AP Symposium is always free of charge and open to the public to participate and share their comments with well-known national and international speakers.
The company also provides other after-process CSR activities. AP CHARITY is a campaign that aids underprivileged children who live in rural areas of the country by donating educational materials and other items of basic needs that benefit their living. The youth of today will become the nation’s human resources of tomorrow, who will contribute to the development of the country in the future.

ACHIEVEMENT AND IMPACT

The company has been working on these initiatives for five years. During this period, it has spent over 300 million baht on AP Academy, and has committed to spend 70 million baht annually going forward. During the past years 5,000 staffs, university students and general public have participated in the curriculum. We have received very positive feedback and endeavor to develop these programs further as the industry evolves.

FUTURE DIRECTION

AP is fully committed to provide education and to share knowledge with the society at large. We will continue to invest in people and will develop a long-term strategic plan to do so sustainably, as we strongly believe that quality human asset is key to developing a sustainable society.
