China Conch Venture Holdings Limited (Stock Code: 00586.HK) is a large enterprise group offering a comprehensive range of energy-saving and environmental protection solutions. Its business encompasses municipal waste disposal, lithium battery material manufacturing and recycling, new building materials, and port logistics, among other sectors.Conch Venture is deeply involved in the environmental protection industry, with a strong focus on municipal solid waste disposal. The company has independently developed advanced grate furnace technology for waste incineration and power generation, aimed at addressing social and livelihood challenges posed by the increasing volume of municipal solid waste.
Additionally, Conch Venture is exploring diverse business strategies for waste incineration and power generation projects. By processing kitchen waste, sludge, and leachate, and through the sale of steam and thermal energy, the company aims to transform traditional waste-to-energy projects into "urban energy conversion stations." FRAMEWORK AND STRATEGY
As a leading environmental protection company, Conch Venture prioritizes social, environmental, and governance (ESG) initiatives. The company has established an ESG working group dedicated to promoting environmental governance and protection. It has created a governance system focused on climate change to monitor and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and has developed a "Carbon Sink Cloud Platform" to contribute to the national strategy for achieving carbon neutrality and peaking carbon emissions.Furthermore, the company actively embraces corporate social responsibility by engaging in initiatives such as educational assistance and poverty alleviation, while providing employees with a fair, healthy working environment and opportunities for advancement. ACHIEVEMENT AND IMPACT
By the end of 2023, Conch Venture had expanded to 101 waste-to-energy projects across 23 provinces, cities, and autonomous regions in China, as well as overseas in countries like Vietnam. The company's total contracted capacity reached 20.95 million tons per year, with a production capacity of 17.18 million tons per year. The company ranks second in China for the number of signed projects and fourth for production capacity.The company is also a member of the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry and a unit participating in the development of group standards for the "Carbon Emission Reduction Accounting Standards (T/CRSUD 002-2023).
FUTURE DIRECTION
The company’s overall goal by the end of 2028 is to establish Conch Venture as a leading environmental protection company in the waste disposal industry, focusing on both capacity and profitability. The target capacity is to achieve a municipal solid waste disposal capacity of 25 million tons per year by the end of 2028.In terms of profitability, the company aims for an annual revenue of rmb 8.86 billion by the same date. Throughout its business development, Conch Venture will consistently uphold a green ecological concept, leveraging its expertise to promote the green and low-carbon transformation of economic and social development through a robust environmental management system, strategic policies, scientific environmental targets, and key performance indicators.
