We have become the participant, undertaker and practitioner of social responsibilities by devoting ourselves to social and environmental emergency actions and taking our social responsibilities in helping the distressed and the poor.
INTRODUCTION
Environmental protection industry possesses public welfare characteristics. BGE has been dedicated to environmental protection for the last 30 years. At the same time when we implement our operation and management, we have also taken more social responsibilities with our universal value “for you for me for all” as well as advocated more people to participate in public welfare via our action.
FRAMEWORK AND STRATEGY
Since the establishment in 1992, BGE has been dedicated to our business operation and the contribution to the society in the meantime. We have become the participant, undertaker and practitioner of social responsibilities by devoting ourselves to social and environmental emergency actions and taking our social responsibilities in helping the distressed and the poor, providing financial aids in education, practicing environmental charities, participating in communication within the industry and dealing with environmental crisis.ACHIEVEMENT AND IMPACT
Since we were listed in 2014, BGE has been releasing the enterprise social responsibility report annually to truly reflect the enterprise operation situation and disclose the information. Meanwhile, our work in taking our social responsibilities such as helping the poor, providing financial aids in education and providing disaster relief under our universal value “for you for me for all” has been recognized by stakeholders and won a series honors such as “2017 Responsible Brand of the Year”, “Green Feats” in ecological civilization, the 12th “Prize for Social Responsibilities of Public Owned Enterprise”, and “2015 the Responsible Enterprise for People’s Welfare” in social responsibility sector.FUTURE DIRECTION
In the future, BGE will continue to take our social responsibilities in areas including providing financial aids in education, alleviating the poor and providing disaster relief under our universal value “for you for me for all” to build a harmonious society. In providing financial aids in education, we decided to donate a Hope Primary School in impoverished mountainous areas annually and aid the needy children financially from 2015 to realize targeted poverty alleviation; also, we will continue to set up “BGE Special Scholarship” to help the students excellent in conduct codes and academic performance to complete their studies and better contribute to the society.
BGE is an A-share company listed on the Main Board whose core business is to dispose the hazardous waste and industrial wastewater, to comprehensively deal with the municipal solid waste in the whole industrial chain, and to realize sustainable environmental remediation.
