Deputy minister Hsu received his PhD and master’s in political science from Columbia University, USA. He begins his journey as an associate professor and research fellow with Chinese Culture University, and Research Center of the Institute of International Relations within National Chengchi University. For 14 years, he was working in the Institute of Political Science for Academia Sinica, which at the same time he was working for the Master Program of China Studies for National Tsing-Hua University. He then took on the role of President for Taiwan Foundation for Democracy and effective July 2018, he became the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan.
