Rui has more than 10 years of work experience in Corporate Strategy, Governance and Sustainability. He has implemented his multidisciplinary knowledge of various international organisations, delivering monitoring services to protect and strengthen all aspects of operations across all environments in five continents, including his local Switzerland. After more than 6 years in Switzerland, he joined Deloitte in 2016 to establish Risk Advisory in Myanmar.

Since 2019, he is based in KL in order to expand his portfolio in Strategic and Operational Risk Management across the region focusing on Sustainability Agenda 2030. He has lead reviews and implementation of Management functions, developed capabilities in APAC and SEA, deployed governance concepts and developed Sustainability Risk Management (SRM) methodologies by considering SDG and ESG dimensions, and partnerships with the United Nations and the private sector.

Rui has earned four degrees, including a BSc in Engineering, an MsBA in Services Management, a DAS in Risk Management and a CAS in Internal Audit; A globalist at heart, Rui currently speaks English, French and Portuguese fluently, and understands Spanish and Italian.
