Foroogh Foyouzat
Country Representative, UNICEF Cambodia
Foroogh Foyouzat has been in many capacities in UN (Chief of Child Protection, Chief of Field Services, Deputy Representative) in different programme contexts ranging from fragile states, to post-conflict and middle-income countries such as Afghanistan, the Philippines, Northern Macedonia, Somalia, and India.
As the deputy representative in Somalia and Macedonia, she provided leadership and direction for planning, implementation, coordination and monitoring of programmes, including EU candidacy, social policy work, advocate and influence sectoral policy reforms.
Prior to her current assignment to Cambodia as UNICEF Representative, she was the Deputy Representative in India, providing leadership across India with 13 state offices. She’s coordinated UNICEF’s work in different UN Results Groups to ensure synergies, complementarity and effective contribution for the achievement of UNSDF.
