Yumi oversees Sustainalytics’ ESG research of companies in the transportation and industrials sectors. She speaks at conferences / seminars in Singapore and in Japan on topics such as corporate ESG disclosure and how ESG information is used by investors. She contributes articles on ESG to a Japanese online platform, Governance Forum, which supports executives of listed Japanese companies on corporate governance issues. She formerly worked for Deloitte Singapore’s Financial Advisory Services team, and Citibank in Hong Kong and Tokyo. She holds an MBA, with focus on sustainability and impact investment, from University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and a bachelor’s degree in Law and International Politics from Hokkaido University, Japan.
