Anirban Ghosh is currently the Chief Sustainability Officer at the Mahindra Group. His role involves leading the strategy and implementation of the USD 19.4 billion Mahindra Group’s sustainability drive.
During his work Anirban has developed an award winning sustainability framework, enabled being the first in the world to commit to doubling energy efficiency, the first in the country to join the World Bank’s Carbon Pricing Leadership Consortium, commit to a carbon price and also commit to Science Based Targets. He has helped harness more water than is consumed in the Mahindra Group and is currently striving to make Mahindra a zero waste to landfill organization.
Anirban has enabled Mahindra World City to become a food waste free city, a model that is being replicated in other parts of India. He has, in partnership with the World Bank, helped create the Sustainable Housing Leadership Coalition to enable the spread of green buildings in India.
Anirban has spread sustainability in communities by leading the implementation of a national award-winning watershed development project that tripled per capita income for 20,000 Indians. Dr Allinnettes Go Adigue is the Head of the ASEAN Regional Hub of the Global Reporting Initiative. As Head of GRI’s ASEAN Hub, Ally is tasked to promote the practice of sustainability reporting across the region by working with relevant stakeholders in creating a conducive policy environment for sustainable business practices, foster the business case of sustainability reporting and build the capacity of organizations in sustainability reporting.
A lifelong learner and a global citizen, Ally has lived in 3 continents in the past 15 years. Prior to GRI, Ally has previously worked for the academe, and both the public and private sectors. While working on her PhD, she worked as a graduate research assistant in the field of Climate Change Policy and Economics. She also worked in a retail electricity company in Singapore and for the Office of the President of the Philippines. Ally earned her PhD on Public Policy from the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University in 2017. She has two Masters degrees: one in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University, The Netherlands; and another in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore. She also has Bachelor’s degrees in Law and Political Science.

Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Memon has work with UNEP for more than 17 years, including 11 years at UNEP-IETC for water and sanitation, and waste management; and 5 years at UNEP-ROAP. He was also working as Director for Rural Water Supply and Sanitation in Pakistan for 4 years. At ROAP, He served as the Sub-programme Coordinator for Resource Efficiency. He led UNEP’s COVID-19 Response on Medical and Humanitarian Phase focusing on COVID-19 waste management, Mushtaq served as Project Manager for the Regional Policy Advocacy Component of the EU-funded SWITCH-Asia Programme to promote sustainable consumption and production and uptake of SDG 12 in Asia. He also implemented GO4SDGs in the region and led the Low-Carbon Lifestyle Challenge Startups.
He has a Doctorate in Environmental and Resource Economics from Hiroshima University in Japan, a Master’s from the University of Bradford in the UK, a postgraduate diploma in Transport and Undergrad in Civil Engineering from Pakistan, and schooling at Cadet College Petaro in Pakistan. He has also published various papers in international journals and has delivered various training programmes.

Dr Naoki Adachi is the founder and CEO of Response Ability, Inc., and Executive Director of Japan Business Initiative for Biodiversity (JBIB). He has been working as a consultant on environmental management and CSR since 2002 after working as a researcher at the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) and at FRIM (Forest Research Institute Malaysia). He has been involved in many projects for Japanese corporations and ministries to develop sustainability policies and implement them in their daily business.

Dr Niven Huang is the Regional Leader of KPMG Sustainability Services Asia Pacific and was the Chairman of the Advisory Board of ASrIA. Dr Huang is a pioneer in Taiwan for promoting CSR, sustainability reporting, SRI, corporate sustainability strategy and carbon management. He was previously Secretary General of the BCSD-Taiwan for 16 years. He sits on the judging panels of several public and private Awards of CSR, Excellence in Environment, and Sustainability in Taiwan and Asia.

Duncan Lee, is Director of Investment Environmental, Social & Governance for AIA’s Group Investment function, responsible for driving the ESG integration within Group Investment, as well as continuously improving the AIA Investment ESG operating model, to consistently and significantly impacting the long-term financial results of AIA and its customers by driving sustainable behaviour with world-class investment solutions expertise, industry leadership and best practices in processes, controls and systems. This aims to provide both support and leadership with respect to the commitment of AIA towards enabling Healthier, Longer, Better Lives across the Asia-Pacific region. Most recently, he led AIA’s efforts to manage down investment exposure to coal mining and coal-fired generation. Prior to taking on his current responsibilities, Duncan was responsible for the provision of investment legal advisory, transaction, and documentation support to the Group Investment team.
Prior to joining AIA, Duncan spent almost two decades working in a variety of legal roles, both in private practice and as an in-house lawyer, as well as on the Global Distribution side at Barclays, covering derivatives, structured products, capital markets and prime brokerage.

Carbon Specialist
Prior to sustainability consulting, Kevin has worked in maritime research, contributing to several publications by the Maritime Energy and Sustainable Development Centre of Excellence. His areas of focus have been in greenhouse gas emissions inventory creation and life cycle assessment. Kevin holds modelling experience to identify opportunities for GHG emissions reduction in container terminals in the Port of Singapore. His experience with performing LCAs on potential alternative maritime fuels is adaptable to many industries and sectors interested in lowering their carbon footprint.
Kevin’s current role as Paia Consulting’s consultant and carbon specialist stems from his desire to learn more about sustainability further than GHG calculations. He believes that a greater impact is made when peers and leaders attract public interest through compelling media paired with honest and accurate data. Kevin is working to make sustainable practices not just exercises required by governments to reach arbitrary goals, but also to shift how businesses are run and what companies we choose to support.
Kevin completed his master’s degree in environmental engineering where he researched waste management in East Asia. Before this, he worked with several international organisations providing consulting in community development for parts of Africa and South Asia. These were unique opportunities that allowed Kevin to work closely with NGO stakeholders and communities on location to assess development efforts (such as sanitation, financial literacy, family planning, vocational advocacy) and their effectiveness towards their organisational mission.

Ms. Lim oversees the implementation of strategy, investment, and advisory business in East Asia and the Pacific. IFC, the private sector investment arm of the World Bank, has a US$10 billion portfolio in region.
With a career spanning more than 25 years of investing in emerging markets across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America, Ms. Lim has developed a strong track record as a global investment professional and leader in development finance. She has been responsible for originating and subsequently managing multi-billion regional equity and debt investment portfolios across the consumer services, infrastructure, and financial sectors.
She has successfully led and motivated multicultural and multidisciplinary teams to execute on IFC’s strategy and business globally. Ms. Lim has also served on the boards and advisory committees of private companies in various emerging markets.

Lt. General Sharma retired from the Indian Army in 2008, after four decades of an illustrious and brilliant career of selfless service to the nation. During his career he has seen active service in India and other countries and has held very critical and challenging appointments in higher echelons of defense management, including a diplomatic assignment in London as the Defense Attaché of India. He commanded the largest operational force in the world
and led the logistics and administration of the 1.3 million strong Indian Army in his last assignment before retirement.

Monica Bae leads CDP’s regional engagement efforts with financial institutions across Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, where she works with asset owners, asset managers, banks and insurers in driving the financial sector’s transition to a net-zero, forest-positive economy through engagement initiatives, portfolio analysis and product development.
Prior to joining CDP, she has over 16 years of experience in financial services and economic research, where she has experience in managing private debt funds for Asian institutional investors and structuring investment products. Olivier Trecco serves as Head of ASEAN, Japan, Australia ESG Solutions at S&P Global Sustainable1. He leads the Sustainable1 ESG Solutions team in the region, where he focuses on the strategic development of S&P Global ESG Solutions, anchored in client-centric technical expertise and deeper strategic relationships. Olivier also works on delivering regionally relevant thought leadership materials, and represents S&P Global Sustainable1 at conferences, webinars and other client events.
Prior to joining S&P Global Sustainable1, Olivier worked over 11 years in the financial industry. His most recent position was Co-Head of the ESG Solutions Team at Natixis Investment Managers Solutions, where he focussed in particular on the development of climate analytical & data capacities. Previously, Olivier worked both for Natixis CIB and Natixis Investment Managers in Solutions advisory roles, based in London and Paris, mainly dedicated to institutional clients. Prior to this, Olivier started his career by working on the funding of water and environmental projects in West and East Africa.

Kristen Scharf graduated with her Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex, U.K. She has extensive work experience in the not-for-profit and social justice sector, with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership. She is passionate about bringing positive, long-term change to global communities with an understanding of the importance of providing initiatives that deliver benefits in a practical and sustainable manner. Kristen is currently the Cambodia Country Director for the international anti-human trafficking organization, A21, on a mandate to take immediate and effective measures to eradicate modern-day slavery, human trafficking, and child exploitation. Sara is an Italian-qualified lawyer with 10+ years of experience in M&A, International Commercial Law and Corporate Law at prestigious law firms in Milan, Beijing, and Shanghai. She attained a Master’s Certificate from the Harvard Business School on Sustainable Business Strategy and a Certificate of Completion on Labour & Human Rights at the Council of Europe. She works with diverse stakeholders, developing CSR strategies to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Dr. Puthearath CHAN is President of the Advanced Sustainability Institute (ASI). He has 12+ years of professional experience as a national coordinator, senior technician, and consultant for various sustainability projects with governmental and non-governmental organizations, including UN agencies such as UNCDF, UNEP, UNDP, etc. He has worked as a senior technician for more than 10 years at the Division of Green Economy & Investment, currently the Department of Green Economy, National Council for Sustainable Development, and Ministry of Environment. Dr. CHAN has been an advisory board member and professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Paragon International University since 2020. He was the 22nd laureate at Chey Institute for Advanced Studies and a visiting professor in international Master’s programs (dual degrees) at French Cooperation Department, RULE, and Lumière Lyon 2 University, France.

Dr. Alexander Khanykov graduated from Moscow Medical Institute in 1974, majoring in Sanitary/ Ecology, and he later graduated in Microbiology in 1977. Dr. Khanykov defended his doctoral thesis in 1979, specializing in microbiology/ toxicology. In 1987, he graduated from the Academy of Economics, and he defended his doctoral dissertation in 1991. From 1985 to 1991, he served as the Head of the Innovation Department of the Ministry of Medical and Microbiological Industry. He has also been the President of the Association of Enterprises of the Medical Industry since 1991. From 1995 to 1999, Dr. Khanykov was the Director of the Scandinavian Department of Russian Prombank (Stockholm). From 2005 to 2008, he fulfilled his duties as the Director General of the National Organization for the Support of the Carbon Absorption Projects at the Council of Federation of the Russian Federation. From 2008 to 2017, he served as the General Director of the Ruscarbon Group of Companies as part of the Carbon Agency LLC in partnership with Gazprom OJSC, Alfa Carbon LLC in partnership with Alfabank OJSC, and Carbon Energy LLC in partnership with MGIMO RF.

Akitaka Miyamoto joined TAU Corporation in 1998. He is experienced in the field of both purchase and sales of damaged cars and has been promoted to the Osaka Branch Manager, Sales Department Manager, and Senior Managing Director, and has eventually become Chief Executive Officer of TAU Corporation in December 2009. In July 2014, he proposed the concept of “Car Triage” which has gained broad support from local governments and automobile-related organizations both in Japan and overseas due to its concept that leads to environmental conservation, information transparency, and economic revitalization. In 2022, along with like-minded auto-related companies, he established the Ethos Cooperative and became its Chairman. Consolidating the knowledge and know-how of each company, Ethos Cooperative provides support for areas affected by natural disasters and appropriate disposal of damaged cars.

Eugene Kraamwinkel qualified himself as a forester and later as a community and agroforestry specialist to ensure sustainable forestry practices and sustainable development of community forestry and agricultural programs as part of his post-graduate thesis. Most of his recent work and research in Cambodia was to enhance forestry practices in such a way that it can still benefit communities in agricultural production. He is an accomplished and results-driven CEO with extensive experience developing and deploying advanced systems, policies, procedures, and measures in compliance with applicable regulations to meet sustainability and CSR objectives. He was one of the driving forces in the sustained certification of Grandis Timber FSC certification and is currently assisting other companies to achieve the same levels of certification towards sustainability.
