Petrus Ng is the Group Chairman and Managing Director of BASF (Thai) Ltd. since January 2016, as well as being responsible for Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam. From 2013 to 2015, he assumed the position of Managing Director of BASF Vietnam Co., Ltd. Prior to this, he was Director for Strategy and Projects of Regional Business Unit – Care Chemicals Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. He joined BASF in 1990. He has held several key management positions with various business units including Care Chemicals, Performance Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals and Polymer Dispersions in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia throughout his 20 plus years in BASF. Petrus Ng was born in Melaka, Malaysia, in 1965. He graduated as Bachelor of Science from the University of Malaya, Malaysia.
Regional Director, East Asia and the Pacific, IFC – International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group)
Vivek Pathak is IFC’s Regional Director for East Asia and the Pacific, leading advisory and investment operations across 18 countries, which in 2019 reached US$3.8 billion in long-term investments, including funds mobilized from other investors. He has extensive emerging markets experience in principal investments, restructuring and risk management. Mr. Pathak was Director for Investment and Credit Risk, responsible for global coverage of credit risk, investment risk, integrity risk, pricing and credit/equity training. Prior to that he oversaw IFC’s portfolio in the Middle East and North Africa and led business development in frontier markets like Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran. Before IFC, Mr. Pathak worked at Bank of America and ABN AMRO Bank in new business and risk management.

Rui has more than 10 years of work experience in Corporate Strategy, Governance and Sustainability. He has implemented his multidisciplinary knowledge of various international organisations, delivering monitoring services to protect and strengthen all aspects of operations across all environments in five continents, including his local Switzerland. After more than 6 years in Switzerland, he joined Deloitte in 2016 to establish Risk Advisory in Myanmar.
Since 2019, he is based in KL in order to expand his portfolio in Strategic and Operational Risk Management across the region focusing on Sustainability Agenda 2030. He has lead reviews and implementation of Management functions, developed capabilities in APAC and SEA, deployed governance concepts and developed Sustainability Risk Management (SRM) methodologies by considering SDG and ESG dimensions, and partnerships with the United Nations and the private sector.
Rui has earned four degrees, including a BSc in Engineering, an MsBA in Services Management, a DAS in Risk Management and a CAS in Internal Audit; A globalist at heart, Rui currently speaks English, French and Portuguese fluently, and understands Spanish and Italian.
Director, Asia Pacific, World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)
Constant leads WBCSD’s regional office in Asia Pacific. He is a sustainability and construction sector expert. He supervises projects and helps member companies adopt sustainability thinking, methodologies and tools into business strategy and operations. Constant is on the board of two non-profit organisations, he is a regular speaker at events and judge for sustainability awards. He is an editorial advisor to Singapore National Environment Agency and was one of the invited experts that shaped Singapore Green Building Masterplan. He was VP Foresight at Lafarge, senior corporate strategy analyst at Alcatel, and a practicing civil engineer in Switzerland, Germany, and the UK, mainly for ARUP. He holds a master’s in civil engineering (ETHZ, Switzerland), an MBA (Cranfield University, UK) and a diploma in Directorship (SMU, Singapore).

Janet Salem has worked on sustainable consumption and production at the United Nations for the past 15 years. Her current work, the Closing the Loop project, focuses on applying digital technologies to addressing plastic waste flows in South East Asia. Janet set up the Asian Circular Economy Leadership Academy with Chulalongkorn University and the Low Carbon Lifestyles Challenge, which supports start-ups with circular economy business models in Asia. Janet’s previous work focused on government policy and private sector partnerships in circular economy, plastics, tourism, eco-labelling, eCommerce and retail, venture capital and food systems.

Alexandra Boakes Tracy founded Hoi Ping Ventures to provide research and consulting on investment in low carbon energy and infrastructure in Asian emerging markets. Alexandra is a member of the Listing Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, an Active Private Sector Observer to the United Nations Green Climate Fund and an Advisor to the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology’s Asian Family Business Research Centre. She was non-executive Chairman of the Association for Sustainable & Responsible Investment in Asia for six years, stepping down in 2015, and was instrumental in establishing the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change during this period.
Executive Director, Japan Business Initiative for Biodiversity, CEO & Founder for Response Ability, Inc.
Dr Naoki Adachi is the founder and CEO of Response Ability, Inc., and Executive Director of Japan Business Initiative for Biodiversity (JBIB). He has been working as a consultant on environmental management and CSR since 2002 after working as a researcher at the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) and at FRIM (Forest Research Institute Malaysia). He has been involved in many projects for Japanese corporations and ministries to develop sustainability policies and implement them in their daily business.
Former Quarter Master Of General Indian Army. Advisor To Enterprise Asia
Lt. General Sharma retired from the Indian Army in 2008, after four decades of an illustrious and brilliant career of selfless service to the nation. During his career he has seen active service in India and other countries and has held very critical and challenging appointments in higher echelons of defense management, including a diplomatic assignment in London as the Defense Attaché of India. He commanded the largest operational force in the world and led the logistics and administration of the 1.3 million strong Indian Army in his last assignment before retirement. A strong votary of sustainable and responsible development he has developed expertise in areas of environment, renewable energy and ecology. Gen Sharma now writes on national strategy and security issues and lectures business leaders on decision making, motivation and positivity. He is deeply committed and passionate about entrepreneurship and has helped and guided many start up companies to realize their potential.
General Manager for Sustainable Development, Swire Pacific Offshore & China Navigation Company
Simon wears the hat of GM for Sustainable Development for both SPO – with 70 OSVs operating globally, and since late 2010 also for The China Navigation Company, the Swire group’s privately owned deep-sea company – with 40 liner / breakbulk ships trading in Pacific Ocean. He has ben with Swire Pacific Ocean for 36 years, in which SPO has been carbon neutral since 2011. Simon is on the Board of Trustees of the Sustainable Shipping Initiative (SSI), a member of the founding steering group of the Ship Recycling Transparency Initiative (SRTI) and has been on the SMU Maritime Business Operations Track Advisory Council for the past 4 years. Simon gives occasional guest lectures on Sustainability in Shipping at SMU, RMIT and SIT, and for the MPA at their MPA Academy, and is currently contributing to a book on ‘Securing Water, Energy and Food in the Pacific’ on behalf of the University of New South Wales in Sydney and UNESCO. He was a Director of the Singapore Environment Council for the four years up to the end of Jun 2020 and also sits on the British Chamber of Commerce (Singapore) Committees for their a) Sustainability and Responsibility, b) Transport and Logistics and c) Diversity and Inclusion business groups.

Foroogh Foyouzat has been in many capacities in UN (Chief of Child Protection, Chief of Field Services, Deputy Representative) in different programme contexts ranging from fragile states, to post-conflict and middle-income countries such as Afghanistan, the Philippines, Northern Macedonia, Somalia, and India. As the deputy representative in Somalia and Macedonia, she provided leadership and direction for planning, implementation, coordination and monitoring of programmes, including EU candidacy, social policy work, advocate and influence sectoral policy reforms. Prior to her current assignment to Cambodia as UNICEF Representative, she was the Deputy Representative in India, providing leadership across India with 13 state offices. She’s coordinated UNICEF’s work in different UN Results Groups to ensure synergies, complementarity and effective contribution for the achievement of UNSDF.

Solinn brings with her a wealth of 20+ years of hands-on experience from working in countries across Asia, Europe and United States, in building community and economic resilience, environmental conservation and climate change, humanitarian relief and preparedness, civic engagement and social accountability, also including social protection, campaigns and policy. In 2017, Solinn led an ICT4D innovation team to create the first Oxfam’s Blockchain platform experimentation for social impacts in the agriculture value chain. As a Cambodian born, raised and educated in Cambodia, Solinn has solid experience working with communities and people from all walks of lives. She designed and led Oxfam Cambodia’s and East Asia’s Energy and Extractives programme portfolios in 2008 and have mobilized communities and stakeholders to advocate for sustainable energy options for Cambodia and the region.

Dr Niven Huang is the Regional Leader of KPMG Sustainability Services Asia Pacific and was the Chairman of the Advisory Board of ASrIA. Dr Huang is a pioneer in Taiwan for promoting CSR, sustainability reporting, SRI, corporate sustainability strategy and carbon management. He was previously Secretary General of the BCSD-Taiwan for 16 years. He sits on the judging panels of several public and private Awards of CSR, Excellence in Environment, and Sustainability in Taiwan and Asia.
Senior Director, Global Environment (Supply Chain), Social & Environmental Affairs, Adidas Group
Tracy has over 20 years of global experience in leading environmental and social issues within the supply chain for global multinational companies. She manages a team of experts located in 9 countries across Asia, EMEA, North and South America, comprising of carbon, renewable energy, chemical and environmental experts. Tracy is recognised for her expertise in developing and implementing global sustainability strategies, coupled with the ability to utilize sustainability concepts to drive business performance. Tracy is currently serving as a member of the following expert committees: Steering committee for the UNFCCC (United Nation Fashion Industry Charter for Climate) drawing on methodologies from the Science-Based Targets Initiative; Tracy also co-chairs the Manufacturing and Energy working group in The Steering Co. of the Charter, collaborating among sectors to achieve its climate targets; she is also in the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) task group whose goal is to eliminate the use of priority chemicals.

Shinji was a member in the international negotiations for developing the SDGs in the Rio 20 Preparatory Meeting, 2011 as an NGO member as well as a delegation from the Japanese government. He has served as a member of the SDGs Task Force of Global Compact Network Japan and a secretariat of SDGs Stakeholders’ Meeting hosted by the Ministry of the Environment Japan. His books and reports include “Mainstreaming the SDGs in Business” (coauthored 2019), “The Basics of the SDGs” (co-authored 2018), and “SDGs and Business for the Future” (co-authored 2018). At the same time, he is a researcher at Berlin Free University and Japan Center for Sustainable Environment and Society, as well as a part-time lecturer for different universities in Japan.

She brings over 25 years of global experience in International Development, Social Impact, and Sustainability including the Life Sciences, Healthcare, and Innovation. She was most recently with Save the Children, as Head of Corporate Partnerships for SE Asia, where she led a team to secure Shared Value partnerships with MNCs focused on SDG priorities. Julie has also delivered complex projects for the World Bank, UN and IFC, involving extensive stakeholder consultation for new strategies and policies related to environmental sustainability. During her career, she has successfully raised over US$200M in equity and grants from Institutional Investors, VC’s, HNWI, Foundations, and Corporates.

Datuk Seri Dr Victor Wee was the Chairman of Tourism Malaysia, the government agency charged to promote Malaysia’s tourism industry. He was previously the Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism, Malaysia, the Program Chairman of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and Advisor to the Ministry of Finance. He was also the Senior Director of Macroeconomics of the Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister’s Department, where he was instrumental in formulating Malaysia’s macroeconomic policy framework. As a member of the World Bank, he helped review the planning and implementation methodology of Saudi Arabia in 2003 and assisted in a UNDP mission on the formulation of Saudi Arabia’s long-term economic strategy in 2004. During the Asian Financial crisis, he served as the Deputy Head of the National Economic Action Council (NEAC) Secretariat, where he was involved in the drafting of the National Economic Recovery Plan, which was used as the blueprint for Malaysia’s efforts to bring about recovery from the crisis.

Deputy minister Hsu received his PhD and master’s in political science from Columbia University, USA. He begins his journey as an associate professor and research fellow with Chinese Culture University, and Research Center of the Institute of International Relations within National Chengchi University. For 14 years, he was working in the Institute of Political Science for Academia Sinica, which at the same time he was working for the Master Program of China Studies for National Tsing-Hua University. He then took on the role of President for Taiwan Foundation for Democracy and effective July 2018, he became the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan.

Mayor Hou graduated from the Graduate School of Crime Prevention and Corrections, Central Police University and he began his law enforcement career ever since. He went on to become the commissioner of Taoyuan County Police Department, and consecutively the commissioner for Criminal Investigation Bureau, National Police Agency in the Ministry of the Interior which he subsequently became the Director-general. At the same time, he is the Principal for the Central Police University and is appointed as the Deputy Mayor for New Taipei City soon after. Effective 2018, he is appointed to the position of Mayor for New Taipei City.
