A holistic and integrated approach to economic, social and environmental issues is very much needed on an urgent basis to achieve sustainability. The private sector, as the primary driver of economic growth and dynamism has the potential to contribute to domestic revenues which in turn can help finance essential public goods and services, helping Governments to provide more and better public services, and creating a virtuous circle to promote sustainability. The ability of Governments to better leverage the strengths and resources of the private sector is the way forward to institutionalise sustainability. This topic discusses on how smart partnership of the public & private sectors can help to institutionalise sustainability. Integrating sustainability and corporate responsibility into business can drive growth and improve on cost efficiency. It is possible to make a profit without sacrificing or harming the environment or society. Long-term prosperity requires a careful balance between benefits reaped today and ensuring the well-being of our people and our planet tomorrow. This topic discusses on what is responsible entrepreneurship from the economic performance aspect to also include transparency and proper governance, environmental and social accountability towards achieving sustainability.
