Vanee Sivasamy is an Energy & Sustainability Consultant focused on Energy Efficiency, Green Energy, ESG & Sustainability. 'Keep it safe, simple & sustainable' has been her work formula, taking ESG policies from paper to practice for a cleaner and greener planet. She is also an excellent trainer and public speaker and has vast experience in conducting various technical & soft skills training and workshops.
She is backed-up by 15 years’ work experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas Industry providing high-level engineering consulting to many MNCs across Asia-Pacific including Petronas Carigali, Shell, PTTEP and Chevron.

- 2017-Present: Freelance Energy & Sustainability Consultant (Malaysia)
Provide high-level consultancy and training on sustainable strategies to improve energy efficiency, renewable energy implementation and reduction of GHG footprint. Formulate ESG Policies targeting the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, ESG reporting focused on GHG emissions accounting based on GRI Standards & GHG Protocol requirements and any other regulatory requirements. Work with leadership teams and all divisions to implement ESG goals & create awareness on importance of reducing GHG emissions and decarbonization to combat climate change. - 2012-2016: Drilling Engineering Advisor, Chevron E&P Ltd. (Thailand)
Managed leadership & technical competency development for five (5) offshore drilling rigs and supervised 200+ engineers. Developed & managed the Clear Leader Program to build competency and leadership skills for Chevron engineers from all global operating units via an intensive 2 years offshore & onshore training program. - 2008-2012: Principal Drilling Consultant, Halliburton (Thailand)
Led the Real-Time Monitoring Center for PTTEP Thailand & developed on-the job training modules for effective communication between office & offshore teams – involved 200+ teams from various business partners & service providers. - 2005-2008: Drilling Consultant, Halliburton (Malaysia & Singapore)
Developed the Petronas Technology Mastery Program to build offshore competency & leadership for young engineers – trained over 100+ engineers & executives from the Drilling & Completions Team.
In her spare time, she conducts talks & workshops for Malaysia GreenTech & Climate Change Corporation (MGTCC), engineering students at various universities and is a volunteer with The Lost Food Project, an NGO that promotes rescuing of food to feed the hungry and reduction of food waste.
Vanee holds a Chemical Engineering Degree from University of Malaya and a Master of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering from Heriot-Watt University.
