SUSTAINABILITY OBJECTIVES

“Joys and Pro Works in Harmony, Flourish Life in Green and Synergy for Excellence” is Faraday’s sustainable business philosophy. It considers Corporate Governance, Winning Glory with Our Partners, Environmental Sustainability, Friendly Workplace, and Social Involvement as its CSR activities’ key agenda. With its stakeholders, the company collaborates and mutually pursues sustainable growth for both corporation and society in the long term.

Faraday’s corporate sustainability Vision develops based on economic, environmental, and societal as objectives. It has built long-term partnerships with customers, subcontractors, and social groups to fulfill its duty as a corporate citizen and maintain its standards of safety, health, and environmental friendliness. The company commits to actively promote the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct to guarantee human rights, worker care, workplace safety, anti-corruption, environmental protection, and others. At the same time, the company also requests the suppliers to implement relevant standards.

For example, Faraday supports and implements the TCFD framework to disclose climate-related financial information into its business operations.

STAKEHOLDERS’ ENGAGEMENT

Faraday identifies its key stakeholders as customers, employees, investors/shareholders, suppliers/contractors, and government agencies. Through a matrix analysis of “stakeholder concerns” and “operational impact on the company”, Faraday identifies 11 significant topics as priority disclosure issues. In accordance with GRI guidelines, the company discloses its management policies, short-term, medium/long-term management goals and achievements in its sustainability report.

For example, with the collective efforts of all employees, Faraday continuously develops low-power design solutions to reduce product energy consumption and contribute to energy conservation and carbon reduction. Furthermore, Faraday continuously reviews and improves various aspects of its business such as technology, quality, delivery, environmental impact, human rights, safety, and health through supplier evaluation. The company is dedicated to building an environmentally friendly and sustainable semiconductor supply chain to provide customer-satisfied products.

DISCLOSURE AND CREDIBILITY

Faraday’s corporate sustainability report adheres to the principles of integrity, pragmatism, transparency, and openness. It showcases the company’s practices and actions in the field of corporate sustainability. To implement its CSR development strategy, Faraday has established indicators for promoting sustainability, and the committee holds regular meetings to review the effectiveness of previous initiatives, discuss future goals and plans, and report to the Board of Directors annually. Through continuous improvement and refinement, the company strives to achieve its sustainability goals.

This report is provided by the authority and responsibility teams after being approved by the top management. It is compiled by the corporate sustainability committee, the report is checked for the correctness of the content, and confirmed by the chairman of the corporate sustainability committee. It is then reported to the Faraday Board of Directors.

In order to strengthen the report’s correctness and credibility, Faraday’s report has been independently verified by SGS Taiwan Ltd., an external independent and credible firm, based on AA1000 AS (2018) Type 1, Moderate level assurance and the core option of the GRI St.
