The first year of the number of blood donors have a total of 154 people donated 227 bags of blood, in 2016, number increased to 661 people donated 1003 bags of blood. The number of donated bags has almost reached the Siriraj hospital for a month to set the safe stock, and Apex received the king in 2016 to receive, praising its perennial contribution to blood donation activities. FRAMEWORK AND STRATEGYIn 2011, Siriraj began to coordinate blood donation at Samutsakhon industrial area, found that Apex employees actively participate in blood donation, so contact Apex hope to have further cooperation. Apex is very grateful for this opportunity, so invite Siriraj once a quarter to send blood donation staff and equipment to the Apex factory, so that employees can more easily participate in blood donation. In order to encourage employees to play love, Apex arrange a very comfortable the blood environment. Besides, in the staff restaurant meal time, play 5 to 10 minutes of blood donation video, so that employees have sufficient knowledge to understand the safety of blood donation, the benefits of their own, and even after many blood donation, donator can obtain Siriraj hospital’s special treatment. Apex HR department design game activities, so that employees waiting for the process of blood donation is still interesting. In addition, Apex invited the local television to interview. So employees can feel very interesting and pride themself on the TV. On the one hand, by TV express, it can promote blood donation activities at the local area.
ACHIEVEMENT AND IMPACTApex carefully arranges safe and comfortable blood donation activities for employees. We can find that employees are the promoters of blood donation under the high satisfaction. From 2011 to 2016, the numbers of employees join blood donation increase more than four times. So the contribution finally get sure. In September 2016, Apex was the only company recommended in Bangkok Metropolitan Region by Siriraj Hospital to the Thai royal family and received the king’s praise in contributing to blood donation.
FUTURE DIRECTIONIn order to promote blood donation activities, Apex consider expanding blood donation activities near the factory and invite their employees to join Apex’s blood donation activities. In addition to efforts to promote blood donation, Apex worked with the industrial officer to hold traffic safety advocacy program, so that Apex employees have the correct driving concept, to reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents. Besides, Apex donated helmets to employees participating in the course. Apex continues to expand for more safety advocacy, so that the situation of lacking blood can be more soothing.
