An Electrical and Electronics Engineer by education, she carries with her more than 22years of experience in Global marketing of pharmaceutical products.
She started her career in Marketing at Armour Chemicals Ltd. in the year 1992 and later worked at Biochem Synergy Ltd. and there was no looking back. She worked in various capacities the last being with Ajanta Pharma Ltd. International Marketing in the capacity of a GM.
She also happened to be the youngest woman GM. She started her own pharma export company in 1997, purely as an indenting operation. The company was initiated under the name of Murlikrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. In 2003, as business opportunities increased, she switched over her operations from indenting to trading. Murli Krishna exports involves in exporting bulk API’s and semi-finished formulations in form of pellets. In the year 2004 she decided to start her own venture in terms of manufacturing semi-finished formulations under the name of Murlikrishna Pharma Pvt. Ltd.
A decade long Journey that started from 2004 with Single Product and only an Indian FDA Approval has turned the corner. Today we have 34 molecules, PIC/s Approvals, EU Approval, Jordanian FDA approval. MKPPL which had already mastered the Macro, Micro & MUPS arenas is now quickly taking its steps towards Nano technology which would be a major breakthrough in NDDS.
The trek to reach this foothill was not easy. So, what was it that kept me going through these terribly tough times?
There is a point of no return in any business. When it came, I did not turn back. Because once you start something you cannot accept failure. And that’s probably what kept me going.
Today Mrs Satya is a successful Entrepreneur of a 7-million-dollar Manufacturing Company. To the world, she appears as a confident, happy human being who is enjoying all the success that the world has to give. Cars, Houses and apparent wealth.
But is that who she is? “I am a woman first and then an independent woman. Success never comes easy. It requires a lot of risk taking and a very strong mental balance and a never say die attitude. This is all what made me a dynamic leader within the industry” she said.
Today the plant has 140 fulltime employees and another 60 who work on contract basis. “
She believes that she have only reached the foothills. Lofty peaks of ambition still remain to be conquered.

MKPPL which is a DSIR Certified/Recognized R&D, is actively engaged for devising innovative drugs solutions with thoughtful selection of Excipients using a congent Matrix. The R & D team has devised unique techniques to layer poorly soluble drugs using aqueous media.
A pellet based approach has been employed for immune suppressants. The pilot results indicate that the in vivo results match with the innovator in case of Tacrolimus.
A dedicated team has been engaged for devising Nano based developments (Nano Particles) for applications including Injectable, Respules etc. covering the Oncological, Ophthalmological and Corticosteroid categories
In the recent times, Ms. Satya Vadlamani has been the guest speaker in several events and some renowned ones include “Sakaal Media Group (Women Entrepreneurship)”, “Lokmat Women Summit (A debate held in one of the leading media groups CNN-IBN)”, “FICCI FLO (Women wing of Federation of Indian chambers of commerce and Industry)”, “Transnational Cooperation in Drug Development and Clinical Research (Held in Hamburg, Germany)” , “WISTEM (Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Management)” held in Dubai.
She was also selected by the BBC as a part of their documentary on “India’s Women Entrepreneurs Titled – Making medicine in a man’s world” which was telecasted in July 2015.
In the recent times, Mrs. Satya Vadlamani has been awarded as the best Women Entrepreneur by the Meera Kaul Foundation WISTEM (Women In Science, Technology, Engineering and Management) held at Dubai on 26th October, 2016. She has also been one of the top five finalists in the CPhI Pharma Awards held at Barcelona, Spain on 4th October 2016 in the category CEO of the year.
